Hi, I'm Sam Holdiness. I have been a tractor buff all my life. I grew up on a farm in Mississippi. I helped my grandfather, who was an expert at farming. He had a Farmall Super C, which he bought new in 1952. With that tractor and 120 acres of land he raised a family and paid the bills by farming cotton, corn, peas, sugar cane, watermelons, and a variety of other crops. That small time way of life is impossible to do now-a-days but as I look back, I can't help but think how fortunate I am to be a part of American history that we all can be proud of. I spent most of my life in the trucking business. I started Sam's Tractor about 5 years ago restoring and repairing tractors for myself and the public. A big problem I had with restoring old tractors was the high cost of parts. Buying from local dealers proved to be too costly, so I sought out tractor parts wholesalers where I could buy parts at a reasonable price. By buying replacement parts I could save some 25 to 50 percent of cost. The parts are as good as the original (a piece of tin is a piece of tin), and you don't have to give up an arm and leg. I believe as long as you offer an honest product at a fair price, success will eventually prevail.
